FOURDIGIT Inc. founded FOURDIGIT(THAILAND) Co., Ltd. as the overseas base in Thailand. At the same time, Mr. Karun Warapongsittikul who is a UX designer and one of the founders of the UX Academy joined our company as COO and will organize FOURDIGIT Thailand with local members.
This will enable us to strengthen the acquisition of domestic clients as well as affiliated Japanese companies in Thailand and to aim for driving the UX design market of Southeast Asia including Thailand. FOURDIGIT Thailand is our first overseas base in the digital design field.
The UX design market in Southeast Asia is rapidly expanding
As digital technology takes parts in our everyday life, values of companies and services are being determined by experiences and often more than the product itself. An approach to provide users better experiences is called “User Experience”, UX Design.
In development sites including Japan, China, and Europe, the UX design concept has spread through the market, and it has become general for design companies to participate in projects from the consulting stage. On the other hand, in the Southeast Asian market including Thailand, UX design is starting to be used gradually these days. In the last few years, the UX designers’ community has been growing so rapidly, and the market formation, as well as needs expansion, are expected.
Planning an active expansion in the Southeast Asian market
starting with the foundation of the subsidiary in Thailand
Our company is finding more and more opportunities to collaborate with overseas teams along with business expansion. We’ve been working with outsourcing partners in the Southeast Asian market for a while. While the digital design market in Southeast Asia has been growing, we have decided to establish a subsidiary with a local team in order to approach the market as well. Looking ahead to the growing market of the digital design industry, we will keep expanding our business in the Southeast Asian market and providing design values in the world.
Participation of a UX designer who leads UX Community in Thailand
Mr. Karun Warapongsittikul who has lots of experience as a UX designer joined FOURDIGIT Thailand. Karun is one of the founders of “UX Academy” which is the first UX vocational school in Thailand, and he has been educating and practicing UX design technology as a leader of the UX design community in Thailand.
In addition, Mr. Vorapong Chanpengpen who teaches UX design at Mahidol University joined our company. We will aim for becoming a leader of the digital design market in Southeast Asia with members who play an active role on the front line and leads UX design in Thailand.
